• There will be no awards for 14 and under for the half marathon. This reflects our philosophy of supporting youth runners participating in appropriate distances for their age and physical development. While this is our philosophy, registration is open to allow parents to make the decision for their children to participate in the race.

The half marathon is a point-to-point race along the Guadalupe River, beginning in Sattler and ending at KL Ranch Camp Cliffside on River Road.

PARKING:

For the Half Marathon, participants may park in the lot at Mountain Valley Middle School in Sattler, located directly at the start line. Our volunteers will be on-site to guide and assist you. Once this lot reaches capacity, vehicles will be directed to nearby retail parking areas, all within approximately ¼ mile of the start line. You are also welcome to be dropped off to avoid parking altogether.

If you park at or near the start line, shuttle service will be available to return you to your vehicle from the finish area. Please note: The school parking lot will be locked at noon. Please ensure your vehicle is moved before that time.

SHUTTLES: 

Shuttles will be available to take half-marathoners back to the start line to retrieve their cars. Shuttle will transport runners back on a rotating basis betweenn 930 am – 11 am. The trip is approximately 20 minutes. Please note that the parking lot at Mountain Valley Middle School will be locked at noon, so all cars must be picked up before then. 

Bag check will be available at the start line; bags will be transported to the finish line for your convenience.

Half marathon participants should use the bags provided at packet pickup. Please do not put valuable items in bags if at all possible.

Aid stations will be placed along the half-marathon course, roughly every 1.5 miles.

Most stations will offer both water and an electrolyte drink. 

There will be bathrooms at the start and finish line of the half marathon and limited porta-potties along the half marathon course.

One medical station will be on the course and another at the finish line.

Packet Pickup will be at Two Rivers Running (1265 N. Academy) on Friday, Oct 23, and Saturday, Oct 24. Participants are highly encouraged to pick up your packet in advance. If you need to be picked up on race day there will be an additional $10 fee and must be chosen during and paid for by Thursday Oct 22nd.
